A lovely few days in Kilmory Lodge. We stayed from 2327 September 2024. We can honestly say that we couldn't find anything missing from the lodge at all. Down to little things like a sewing kit, cotton buds, a little milk to make a coffee on arrival. It was a lovely cottage and a lovely relaxing few days away. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!

Kilmory is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway! The surrounding area is peaceful and quiet and the lodge is just amazing! Mark and Julie have thought of everything. There are so many little extras that if you forget anything Mark and Julie have already provided it. The hot tub was lovely at the end of a day exploring the surrounding areas. The property was immaculate when we arrived and we would definitely stay again hopefully for longer!

We had a fantastic five nights, the accommodation was lovely, had a very homely feel and were made to feel very welcome. The cottage was clean and well furnished with the hot tub a superb feature. The place was very comfortable and relaxing, could not recommend it enough. Ideal for a relaxing break in a good location for anyone who wants to get out and about.

The Lodge was amazing, clean, comfortable and had everything you could want from kitchen utensils, spare toiletries if required, Sky tv and hot tub. It was great to come back at the end of a busy day out walking or visiting local attractions. There was lots of information in the Lodge about places to visit and eat. Mark was also available to provide any extra details. We had a lovely week, thank you.

When we arrived at property it was absolutely spotless and is a beautiful lodge. Mark & Julie have thought of everything and there is a lovely welcome pack on arrival. The hot tub is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts and the day before Mark sent all the information needed as to what to do, and is always happy to answer any questions. Its a fabulous base to start from and after a lovely long day at the Lake District it was so nice to get back and relax in the beautiful property. It really is outstanding and we will definitely stay here again.

Kilmory Lodge was excellent. It was equipped to a very high standard wanting for nothing. It is located in a quiet village but so much to do close by.. Having the hot tub was a real bonus. The outside areas were beautiful with lots of variety of colour and smell and they were very secluded. The owner was very helpful. The contact made the day before was so thorough anticipating any questions we may have had. On meeting Mark we soon realised that nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend this property without reservation and hope to revisit.

The property is so well equipped its like home from home, the owners made the lodge very welcoming and paid particular attention to every day needs as well as some extras, very clean and comfortable furnishings, the bed was very comfy and the hot tub was especially well kept and inviting after a long day out. Highly recommend this stay, just returned from a weekend here and weve really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was lovely, clean, in a great location where you can drive to other areas should you wish to, but also nice to stay in just to chill. Mark was a great host, nothing is too much to ask and is happy to give recommendations if youre looking for things to do, places to eat etc. Would definitely return!

A lovely Lodge which is tastefully decorated and has hig quality furniture , fixtures and fittings. It has everything you could possibly need and very well equipped. We loved every part of our stay at Kilmory Lodge! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, providing you with all the information you need to know. The lodge was amazing the finishing touches were superb, it was extremely clean, the bed was the comfiest we have ever slept in and the hot tub was an added bonus! The hosts had thought of everything which made our stay feel very comforting. They even offered an early check in. We are already looking at returning, thanks again!

What can I say other than fantastic, before arrival we received a WhatsApp from Mark with all the info needed couple more recommendations. We were met on arrival by Mark and he again explained everything to us. The bungalow was way above our expectations, very clean modern and very cosy. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. My advise to anyone wanting a break, you couldnt go wrong here.

We had an exceptional stay. The facilities were excellent, the hosts were lovely and greeted us on arrival and were quick to respond to all requests. They were welcoming, provided the basics we'd need for our stay so we didn't have to bring EVERYTHING with us, and we'd happily stay here again. Due to the time of year we didn't explore the local area too much, but the local shop and pub within walking distance was very convenient.

Information provided by Mark before we arrived was so informative and all the information is all there at the Lodge. It was so homely and everything you could think of has been placed there and even a basket if you've forgotten anything! Stayed at the property for a week, it was everything we hoped for and more. What a gem of a place! 5star throughout and spotlessly clean. Overall clean, bin still had food around the lid so had to clean on arrival. Video was brilliant showing how to use everything and where it all is. Was a great stay only downside from mine and my partners side is the late check in 5pm seems a bit late to be checking in

Where do we start! !.What a brilliant and Immaculate Lodge .We have stayed at several of Sykes Cottages, and this beats them all!!!! Clean, tidy, homely and modern . Everything you might need for your holiday has been thought of and is provided. A credit to the owners!!! Mark and Julie were excellent hosts and provide an accommodation just as seen on the website. Comfortable and immaculate inside with a number of added touches that made it a special stay. Ideally placed to visit numerous places in the North west with a good choice of pubs and restaurants within easy reach. If this was 'Four in a bed' they would be scored 10 out of 10 for every section. This was our second stay and hopefully will not be the last. Would definitely recommend to anybody.

Just had a weeks break at this lodge and all I can say is it was amazing,absolutely lovely lodge with everything you could think of provided for you. Loved the decor and if I could have taken the dressing room home with me I would !.Perfect for anyone looking for a break with all the home comforts you could ask for.Hosts are a lovely couple who go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

An absolutely perfect place to stay. The lodge is very well kept , beautifully clean and comfortable. Mark greeted us on arrival and showed us around, he has a lot of useful tips and is extremely helpful, without being intrusive at all. There is absolutely nothing you could need for your stay that isn't already there. The kitchen has an abundance of crockery ,cutlery ,pots and pans, and the welcome gifts and milk were a lovely extra touch. The seating area is so comfortable to relax in, with the bonus of sky cinema, which, due to the weather, we made good use of. The enormous bed was very inviting , and the bathroom ,very thoughtfully, had everything you could need just in case you had forgotten something, a brilliant idea. The hot tub was perfect for sinking into after a good days walking to soak the aching bones and the lights outside made it so attractive at night. Both front and back outside spaces were lovely and pretty and peaceful, the nearby construction works did not disturb us at all The local pub , seven stars, was 10 minutes walk away and was the perfect pub, offering a friendly warm welcome and amazing food......the hotpot is a must to try, and a good variety of beers and drinks, Being on the bus route made the lodge a perfect location to visit places without always needing the car , the bus stop is almost directly outside the property . Overall this place is quite simply perfect and we would recommend it to anyone, you will not be disappointed in the slightest, we have very High expectations from Sykes and this exceeded them all, we hope to return in the future.

The Lodge was very plush and well presented it was an asset to the owners. The hot tub was another great asset. When we arrived Mark greeted us and gave us a small tour and sent over some useful information on activities and good restaurants and pubs in the area. The bed was very comfortable. This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals. Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos. At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed. Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
