We loved the cottage, it’s tucked away in the countryside, surrounded by farm land which makes it super peaceful. The place was warm, spaciousand perfect for our family, with enough bathrooms for everyone. The garden was a highlight - hot tub, BBQ, fairy lights - really felt special in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed, including two fridges. The hosts were really friendly and made us feel at home from start to finish. Definitely a lovely stay!
Emily
Really friendly host and super accommodating. The bus stop and village pub are about a 15-minute strolland we enjoyed exploring Poulton for drinks and food. Blackpool's only about 20 minutes away by taxi. Definitely coming back, cheers!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy cottage, which comfortably sleeps six in three bedrooms. It's so peaceful being on a farm just outside Blackpool, perfect for a quiet getaway. The location is a bit remote; walking to the pub during the day is fine, but the dark lane makes it tricky at night. There are a couple of pubs within a few miles, but we mostly ate in, with a lovely Sunday roast at the Rivers Riverside. The hosts were super friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend!

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
