Lovely setting. Peaceful, idyllic. Theres not a sound to be heard barring some farm animals. If you dont want to see another human being you can really isolate yourself here, in the fully enclosed property. Well equipped kitchen/lounge and the hot tub is huge. The only criticism really is that on the pictures, the property is vibrant and pristine. Read moreYou arrive and although very nice, it looks tired. Grass edges overgrown and outdoor furniture basic. It needs a bit of love . Hide

Had a lovely relaxing holiday at this quirky property. The garden was dog friendly and secure. My blind dog had a fab time in the garden. Shepherds hut was cosy and a very comfortable bed. Property and the hot tub was very clean. Dont forget your torch , needed for trips to and from the shepherds hut. Some TLC required
Melissa
Great property - well appointed in a beautiful countryside location. A real getaway with dark skies for star gazing and space to potter about with the dogs. We loved our stay and look forward to returning. The photos do not do justice to how spacious and roomy the cabin is.
Natalie
Accommodation does not match listing description/photos. The property looks/feels tired & in need of repairs/maintenance & a thoroughly good clean. Hazardous holes on decking, mould in wet room, shabby sofa, general grubbiness, dirty windows, gaps in wood between windows & around doors, inadequate WiFi, no instructions for range/hot tub, no lights Read moreby steps, no replacement loo or kitchen roll, 1 jeyecloth for all washing up/cleaning, no lock on lodge, no welcome pack - just leftovers. Our stay was lovely and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The location of the hut is perfect to explore the area, especially the national parks, and even parts of Cornwall and Somerset. We can highly recommend staying there. Everything was clean and comfy and the owners were very kind. Our dog also enjoyed the garden and really the whole area surroun ding the hut. It's truly a unique place!
Michelle
We stayed here for a week and fell in love with the place. As soon as we entered through the gate felt instantly grounded and connected to nature. Such a beautiful setting to unwind and forget about everyday life. Enough space for our pooch Lola to roam around and explore. The hot tub was spotless and bed very comfy. The hosts were also very nice a nd their pooch came by to say hello a couple of times. Went to the Fisherman's Cot for late lunch which was nice, a slog to ride on the bike though :)
Martin
We had a lovely stay at the Shepherds Hut in Lower Chapeltown. It was a comfortable property for both of us & our dog, it was so good to have a secure area for the dog to roam around in. The hot tub was a great feature especially in the evening to watch the sun go down or for star gazing at night. If you want to get away from everything for a bit & get connected to nature then this is the place for you. We loved it & we want to go back !
Trudie
Splendid location for total relaxation and wonderful enclosed garden for the dog. It was the perfect retreat for my wife's 60th birthday, the hot tub was a winner. The bottle of fizz in the fridge from the owners was a lovely touch. Introduce yourself to the farm dog Pippa and she will show you around the farm, we shall see you again Mark Debbie & Roxy (the dog)
Amy
We couldn't have asked for anything better! Both the Cabin and the Shepard's hut were so comfy, well equipped and clean. The location was beautiful....exactly what we needed to get away from it all. The boundary of the property was secure enough for me to feel confident enough to let my awkward dog off the lead and to run around. We will definitely be back!
Desmond

Fantastic place to stay. In the middle of beautiful countryside, perfect for a relaxing break away. Lovely cosy shepherds hut to sleep and a well equipped comfortable separate hut to eat and relax in. Lots of lovely walks and to finish the day off in the hot tub was just perfect.
Ryan
Stayed here for 2 nights after we got married and it was the most perfect place to stay. Hot tub was amazing and the bed was the most comfortable bed we have slept on. We was also welcomed by a springer spaniel when we arrived :)
Sally
Excellent property and welcoming owners. The area and facilities were great
Carl
Such a beautiful place, peaceful, secluded & full of charming character. The Hotub is amazing to relax & unwind & the log burner on a chilly night or even just for the glow is perfect. Everything you need for a self catering stay is available for you & the little farm dog likes to pop his head in every now & then for a fuss. Lots to do locally from eating out to nice walks, the fisherman's cot has very tasty food & a riverside setting that we enjoyed & the great Western canal for a lovely walk.
Lesley
We had a great stay, stunning location and very comfortable, well equipped accommodation. If you want to escape from busy life and enjoy peace and tranquillity this is the place for you! The owners are lovely too, very approachable and accommodating
Sally
A lovely little gem of a place! So peaceful and nicely tucked away but still plenty of things nearby if you want to go and explore. Having the kitchen and two bathrooms (great bonus) away from the bedroom works really well, and the hot tub is divine - even in the rain! We will certainly be back!
