Lovely property in a very quiet location. Very warm welcome on arrival immediately felt at home. One point follow the directions provided by the host and don't rely on satnav unless you like very small lanes. The property is perfect if you want to get away and switch off and the hosts are very warm and friendly we had a lovely break away.

Had a wonderful stay at Pool Lodge. Hosts were excellent. Tea, coffee and milk provided plus other goodies for when we arrived, perfect for after a long drive, no need to go out to the shops! Really comfy bed, amazing hot tub, peaceful location. What more could we want???

All we can say really is WOW! The lodge was warm, cosy and had everything you needed and more including drssing gowns and slippers for inside and towels and sliders for outside. The hosts Andy and Juilette were warm and friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome especially with the freshly made bread, jam and milk on arrival. The h ot tub was fantastic, warm and was so relaxing at night with all the lights and was always cleaned everyday. We had a great 2 weeks and will return.

Adrenaline Quarry is the place to head for adults and teenagers and children looking for adrenaline boosting activities. The site boasts the largest and longest Zip wire in the country. Other activities available include Go Karting and the thrilling Coaststeering - Climbing cliffs and jumping in to the sea! All ages and skill levels are catered for and safety is top priority. Zip Wire rides start from £12.50 While Coaststeering costs £30.00.
The Monkey Sanctuary - PL13 1NZ

This attraction is really unique in that you have the opportunity to gain a rare insight into a working sanctuary.  You can see first hand all of the fantastic work carried out as well as seeing the monkeys themselves.  Other popular areas of this attraction include the Bat Cave and Wildlife Room. the Wildlife Gardens and the kids play area.  There is something for everyone at The Monkey Sanctuary and you can also sponsor and donate if you wish.  The cost to adopt a monkey is from just £2 a month.
Trethorne Leisure Park - PL15 8QE

Trethrone Leisure Park in Cornwall is a popular choice for a family day out and offers an excellent programme of activities for children all year round. River Dart Country Park has over 90 acres of woods offering stunning scenic walks, beautiful lakes and open parkland. The park also has a good range of facilities for children including Jungle Ropes, Climbing Frames, Cargo Nets and a wooden Pirate Ship. For younger children there is a toddlers Play Area and a small Beach. During high season supervised activities may include the mega Zip Wire, Canoeing and Rock Climbing.
Woodlands Leisure Park - TQ9 7DQ
about 24 Miles
Woodlands in Dartmouth is a fantastic theme park with non stop fun for everyone. It's also home to the UK's biggest indoor venture centre.  Some of the most thrilling rides are the Cyclone Watercoasters, the Sidewinder and The Mighty Twister.  For younger children there is the Golden Bear City - a superb wild west world with a school house, farm and much more.  All ages are catered for here so why not check out their website for the latest events and admission prices?  You can even watch video clips of the park online.

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
Hedgehog Hospital at Prickly Ball Farm - EX20 3TA

If you are looking for a fun family day out with a difference then a visit to the Hedgehog Hospital is a great choice. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.
