Tucked away in an enclosed and private part of a 300-acre country estate, this stylish shepherd’s hut and lodge makes a quirky getaway for couples or even just you and the dog! Made up of two buildings and a hot tub, as well as a wet room behind the lodge, it provides a little slice of heaven for guests who want to get away from the crowds with just the sounds of the countryside for company. You can’t beat sinking into the cosy bedroom of the shepherd’s hut, the wood burner on to keep toasty at night. While a rustic country feel dominates both the lodge and shepherd’s hut, the furnishings and appliances give a modern touch. Sit down for romantic dinners in the lodge, which has a contemporary kitchen area to cook all that local produce you have discovered on your days out. On cool nights, you can sit inside at the bench table to enjoy the fruits of your labour but during the warmer summer months, you can’t beat eating alfresco on the terrace and taking an impromptu dip in the hot tub under the Devon night sky. For evenings out, visit the idyllic Fisherman’s Cot at Bickleigh (2 miles) for dinner, or the charming town of Tiverton (5 miles) for a larger selection of restaurants. The cathedral city of Exeter is a 15-mile drive away and is a haven of historic attractions, including the Gothic cathedral, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and the medieval underground passages that run beneath the city. Dartmoor National Park is within 30 miles and offers excellent walking and cycling country.

Possibly the quirkiest property we've stayed in. It was in a beautiful spot and very secluded. It is very well appointed with everything you could need. Absolutely brilliant break away in a fantastic place. Everything we needed was there. If we ran out of anything just had to send a text and it arrived within an hour.
Sharon
Lovely secluded shepherd hut, beautiful view, great base for visiting other areas in Devon
Rebecca
Absolutely loved our stay here, we came with the expectation of it being like glamping and we were not disappointed. The bed was very comfy and the hot tub was glorious. The garden being enclosed was a massive help as dogs could just run free (there is an acorn tree though so be careful if your dog scavenges). Everything was really well equipped an d clean. Wonderful shower room with always warm water, yes it is separate but its no issue.
Owen
Would of really loved some more lighting especially around the garden and hot tub which would of really homed in the comfort and setting of the environment, made it very dark and hard to see out during the later hours of the evening, wasnt very happy when other huts had that luxury and we didnt, especially when we paid 700 for 4 nights. Just felt l ike more care and thought could have been applied to really make this hut something really special.
Edward
What a fantastic secluded hideaway with superb views and unmatched privacy. Jenny and her husband were the perfect hosts and remedied our one and only niggle with the utmost speed. We enjoyed it so much, despite the poor weather, we will have a return visit next year.
Andrew
Outstanding location.
Russell
Lovely Views from the Hot Tub The buildings were different, very quirky. Ideal for a relaxing break
Jeremy
beautiful location for a holiday very peaceful.bed was comfortable if a bit to cosy. our week was spoilt by very high winds causing alot of draughts and tree branches banging on the roof all night.we were not aware when booking that going to the toilet involves going outside and walking 30 ft to the toilet and shower.hence sadly we went home after 3 nights of our 7 night stay . the owners were very nice and dealt with a couple of issues promptly and also supplied a nice bottle of prosecco
Noel
Absolute gem! Perfect for escaping the stresses of everyday life. Very well equipped kitchen, bedroom was lovely and warm. The whole place is full of character. The hot tub with the amazing views really put the icing on the cake. Five star is not enough, definitely will return. Many thanks.
Danny
Wonderful stay in a perfectly peaceful setting. Spectacular views, and such a unique accommodation. We will most definately be re-booking and have already recommended many friends that have asked the question after social media posts etc. 2nd time here and most certainly will not be the last.
