We had a really lovely stay! The views were breathtaking and the place was super cosy, even with the unpredictable weather. It’s perfect if you’re after some peace and quiet, especially with the hot tub ready when you arrive. Jenny and her team do a great job keeping everything spotless and welcoming. The Cadleigh Arms nearby was great too-friendly staff, good gruband dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shepherds Hut. The scenery was breathtaking and it was so peaceful, perfect for unwinding. Watching the deer and farmers in action was a real highlight. The hot tub was a lovely touch after a day out. Just a heads up, it’s best to bring plenty of food since shops are a bit of a drive - Thorns Farm Shop is only 11 minutes away and has a decent cafe plus essentials like milk, eggsand bread. If you’re after a quiet escape without the hustle and bustle, this place is spot on!

Honestly, this place was quite the find! The location is stunning and super secluded, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The interior was surprisingly spacious with plenty of storage, so we didn’t feel cramped at all. It’s got all the amenities you could ask for, making it really comfortable. Only slight downside was waiting a week for our deposit back - took a bit longer than expected. Still, we’d definitely stay again, absolutely recommend it!

Absolutely loved our time here! The setting was so peaceful and the views truly take your breath away - honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. Our dogs had a great time too, which is always a plus. We’ve stayed in quite a few cottages around Devon, but this one’s hot tub view was unbeatable. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.
