Entering the stylish, single-storey property, you are immediately greeted by the light and spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, with large sliding doors opening onto the decking. The dining area has a beautiful bespoke table made from an oak tree on the farm that came down in a storm. Completing the accommodation is a king-size bedroom which has a bespoke window that protrudes out to the front of the building, creating a window seat and maximising those long views. Incorporated into the bedroom is the contemporary en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. Push open the sliding doors and the decking immediately becomes part of the living space, seamlessly linking inside to outside. Its lovely and quiet, and apart from greeting us, the owners left us to it (but were available on WhatsApp at any time). We visited the Maypole Inn a few times (dog friendly), popped into Bridgwater for dinner one evening, and went to Clarks Out let Village (dog friendly - we didnt know this until we got there!). This accommodation and location is perfect if you are holidaying with your dog. We have stayed in dog friendly accommodation before and always found it really stressful as it is very rarely actually dog friendly. Shepherds Croft is perfect; the floors are wipeable but non slip, the garden is really well enclosed, easy to control the temperature wit h a thermostat in every room. Owners are helpful but not intrusive. Overall a lovely, relaxing holiday in a beautiful location.
