Other places of interest in the area include the pretty villages of Porlock (17 miles), the harbour town of Watchet (16 miles), and the medieval village of Dunster (15 miles).

On entering this impressive property, guests will be greeted by a hall, which leads to a light and airy open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The spacious lounge area is a wonderfully relaxing space with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV.

The sliding doors allow guests to open this space out to the garden, making the garden feel like an extension of the house. The dining area is a fantastic space for enjoying mealtimes together with a large dining table and French doors opening onto a patio area.

The kitchen area itself is very well equipped and will delight keen cooks. There is also a utility room which offers plenty of space to leave coats and dry off muddy paws!

All five beautifully decorated bedrooms have TV s, there are three bedrooms on the ground floor a large master king size room with an en suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower, his and her sinks and a WC. Plus, a further king size room and a twin room both benefiting from wonderful views and en suite shower rooms with showers and WC's.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
