The Barn at Catacol Reviews

Caroline
This was an amazing secluded place to escape the world! The barn conversion has everything you need and more, the hot tub is perfect to lay and watch the night sky surrounded by nature. Val was a lovely host, very informative on our arrival, we will definitely be coming back soon!
Lovely stay, very cosy place in a lovely location, thank you so much
A very wellappointed barn conversion in a delightful and peaceful setting. We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet and being able to explore the extensive grounds making it possible to do a good walk straight from the doorstep. We also enjoyed some excellent eating places close by and it is an excellent gateway to the Peak District.

Very clean and comfortable barn in a peaceful location however was very disappointed to find out when we got there that the hot tub was out of order and we could not use it as this was one of the main reasons we booked this specific property.
Great location ideal for those that want to explore some 14 acres of surrounding forest. Property as advertised and Val the host made us very welcome. I believe this to be the first review posted as property only been listed since August Would definitely return
Hayley
My wife and I have just returned home from a lovely week spent at The Barn At Catacol. 13th 20th September. We enjoyed a relaxing stay in the idyllic surroundings of the barn, alternating with days out to some nearby attractions. The barn had everything we needed and we felt very much at home there in its 14 acres. Our host, Val, was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us information about the barn and the local area. Thanks Val. We can recommend a visit to the nearby Crich Tramway Museum and the National Trust Workhouse & Infirmary in Southwell. The scenery local to the barn is also outstanding. Two restaurants we visited were the Tom Yum Thai in Belper, under the mill and the nearby Anila Indian restaurant. Both served excellent food.
