Shenton Terrace Reviews

Lovely stay all was perfect. Communication from the owners was excellent
The cottage was spotlessly clean, it was equipped with everything and more that anybody would need. We liked the fact that no dogs are allowed upstairs this is how it should be. The bedrooms were 5 star beautiful bed linen and furniture the beds were so comfortable. Bathrooms modern with rainfall shower. Cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the area . The owners very friendly and helpful. This the best hotel rental we have been in highly recommended.
Lovely cottage well located for walks and Buxton town centre. Cottage was tidy and clean on arrival and some home made scones and a bottle of wine waiting. Everything you needed was on hand or explained in guide where or how to find it! Like Janes husband dropping dressing gowns of later on the Friday really kind of them The local pub was the 19th hole was so close and the landlady Jess was very welcoming. Hot tub was lovely warm and ready to go. The holiday was lovely and we will be back. 5star highly recommend

Great feedback with the owner and helpful beds and supplies for the dogs. Dogs loved it. A field just up the road to give them a walk. Friendly pub just up the road and 12 hour walk into town. Greta area. Good to have a hot tub after a long journey and area to hang up towels! 2 toilets so good for families too. We had two cars and managed to park one outside the house and another down the road for free for the week. Lots of places close by to visit and see!
The place was perfect, had everything we need. We loved our stay and would certainly come again.
Shenton Terrace is a lovely property with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. It's renovated to a very high standard and the hot tub is a delight after a energetic day. We really enjoyed our stay and would enthusiastically recommend to anyone.

I booked this cottage as it had amazing feedback and after our stay I can see why! The cottage is beautiful, the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Wonderfully comfy beds, fantastic showers. Luxury hot tub to soak in after a busy day of walking and a great little garden for the dogs. It was well equipped in the kitchen and the towels and bed linen smelt lovely and were so soft!

What a wonderful place to stay. Right from the start we were made to feel really welcome with great communication from Jane and Steve. We could not fault the cottage, so cosy we felt at home immediately. A lovely cream tea and some wine awaited us on arrival, very much enjoyed after a long journey. Everything was spotless. We had a very relaxing holiday, lots of walking and evenings relaxing in the hot tub. Thankyou for a wonderful stay and hope to return in the future.
Fantastic property in a great location! Would happily recommend to anyone and hope to stay again!
Joanne

I stayed here with my fiance and this cottage is so beautiful. The property is extremely well looked after and is in immaculate condition. It feels very homely and cosy we could not have wished for anything better. Every room is very spacious the living room, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms! The hot tub is covered, so despite the cold and rainy weather, we used it everyday and always looked forward to it after a long day out. This was our favourite! It is in a perfect location with everything that you need within a short driving or walking distance including a pub, supermarkets, hiking locations or the town! To top it all off, we were welcomed with some scones and cream tea which tasted amazing and a bottle of wine too. Both a small detail but a thoughtful one too. We both loved staying here and it's a shame we had to leave so soon but we definitely recommend this property without a doubt and hopefully can stay here again soon!
Sharon
We have had a lovely time at Shenton Terrace. The kitchen was well equipped. It was nice to find homemade scones and cream with a pot of tea ready to make up when we arrived and also a bottle of wine for the night. The log fire was great after a long wet walk in the peaks after we had a well earned soak in the hot tub to ease our sore muscles Our bed was sooo comfortable we slept like logs. I couldn't fault anything. Jane and Steve were on hand if we needed anything like extra logs for the fire but they respected our privacy. It was a lovely cosy house. We had a great time and will definitely return.
A wonderful cottage everything you need great Location will return
Jacqueline
Such a lovely cottage everything anyone could ask for to be comfortable, lots of local information, very attentive hosts though not intrusive in any way and a super hot tub ! 5 stars plus x
Such a lovely cottage everything anyone could ask for to be comfortable, lots of local information, very attentive hosts though not intrusive in any way and a super hot tub ! 5 stars plus x
Absolutely wonderful little place to stay! Or not so little.. Sleeps 7 easily. Beds are so comfortable and the bedding is luscious! Everything you need and more for cooking in the kitchen and it was very clean in every room. The hot tub was a bonus and we made lots of use of it every single day. Nearby supermarkets and shops for anything you need and a local pub on the same road if you fancy a pint. We would definitely book again. The owners are lovely, they keep in touch whenever you need them, and will attend the property if needed. Didn't even know if and when they'd been to check the water in the hottub, they were so discreet. Came home feeling so refreshed! And the homemade scones on arrival were absolutely gorgeous! I cannot compliment this place enough! It is wonderful. Thank you Jane and Steve for making our holiday perfect xx
Absolutely beautiful house and location. The welcoming scones and drinks were much appreciated. Everything you need for a relaxing break was available. The hottub was a bonus and got well used! The bedroom layout was spoton for our family and the addition of stair gates to prevent our 4 legged friend from exploring too much was a nice touch. It was great that Jane kept in contact during the stay to ensure that everything was ok. The house was ideally situated for access to Buxton and the peakdistrict. The area was quiet and had a great night's sleep. The only downside is that we only had 2 days but hopefully will be back in the near future.
Could not have asked for any more from the terrific location to the scones on arrival. fantastic hosts in a fantastic location. we never wanted for anything. the only disappointing thing was that we were not there long enough.
Absolutely loved our stay. Place was amazing and will definitely be coming back and making it a yearly event.

Beds super comfy The hot tub was a real treat and just what we needed for our relaxing break. Jane checked In to see if we needed anything . The local pub Is just steps away if you fancy an evening tipple and is dog friendly . There are a fair few takeaways nearby too mostly pick up only but the cottage has every facility youll need if you fancy cooking. This was our second stay and we could not fault the property. It has everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be returning as it is perfectly located and a beautiful place to stay. The cream tea was a lovely little extra. Would recommend to anyone. Just perfect.
The property was lovely and very clean. Beds very comfortable and really enjoyed the hot tub. Really appreciated the cream tea set out on arrival, and all the other thoughtful touches such as board games, enough kitchen equipment and sauces and robes and slippers for the hot tub. Log burner was brilliant too. Clear instructions for everything and loads of good recommendations for walks and local restaurants and services. Thank you Jane and Steve!
A lovely, well presented house, that exceeded our expectations. Much thought has been given to the comfort of guests. The owners' professional and caring attitude was second to none.
The cottage is beautifully appointed, very well equipped and spacious. The hosts are friendly and very accommodating. We had a fantastic mini break and would certainly visit again.
