Langley Barn Reviews

Caroline
Oh my word what an amazing barn. We were met by the owner who showed us around which was helpful. The barn is a fabulous space, open plan kitchen, dining, living, great for our group, very comfortable, massive tv & we all loved the cozy media wall fireplace. The barn is very well equipped, the owners have thought of everything you might need during your stay. Beds were super comfy, crisp white bedding & the fluffiest towels. Fabulous hot tub, very private overlooking fields & we were lucky to see the Aurora Borealis. We loved it so much we booked for next year & we cant wait.
An amazing place to slay, this has to be one of the best farm houses Ive ever stayed in. The attention to detail is absolutely spot on, everything is catered for. The owners are also both amazing they met us when we got in and helped show how the different equipment operates. The welcome pack was also the best Ive seen, we felt truly spoilt. If anyone wants to find a glorious place to stay then this is the one! The surrounding areas have some lovely places to visit with true English heritage and the nearby pubs are lovely, warm and welcoming. Next time we visit Derbyshire we will be staying here again.
Langley Barn was just perfect for a relaxing week away. Plenty of space for six people to spread out. The large lounge area with giant TV screen and comfy sofa made for a cosy night in when the rain was pouring down outside. During the day it was so nice to sit on the large decking areea for brunch, enjoying the stillness of the surrounding countryside, followed by a dip in the hot tub. We really didn't want to leave.
Ronald
Everything about Langley Barn was first class! So much so that we booked whilst there last week to return next year.
Throughly recommend this property, The property is big enough to have 8 people stay and not be on top of each other, a very social layout and immaculate in every aspect. Lovely location. Fully equipped and owners on hand for any advice.
Michael
A fabulous house in a tranquil setting. There was more than enough space for 8 adults and we found plenty of things to do in the area. The property was immaculate and very well equipped with all we could possibly need. The hot tub was a welcome addition, especially after a day of cycling. The owners are just next door but we had no need to contact them.
Jacqueline
Langley Barn is simply stunning, wonderfully completed by the owners with plenty of space for all the family. The barn has everything you need for your stay and was super clean. The garden area is completely private and spacious with a wonderful hottub complete with lights for the evening . The owners and family were very friendly and helpful during the stay. Whilst the barn is isolated we were able to enjoy many days out with main attractions reached in 30 minutes. All in all a great holiday with 3 generations of family.
Your property was great! well maintained, friendly people and so very peaceful! we look forward to coming back next year! Thank you!
Rosemary
What a lovely barn conversion. Seven adults stayed for a week and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Well equipped with everything you require, very spacious, clean and immaculate. Beds were very comfortable and large! Lovely hot tub with outside seating space and bbq. Friendly owners nearby if needed and was lovely to be welcomed and shown around. Would definitely recommend.
Rosalind
A fabulous place to stay. We had a great time and whilst the weather was not too kind we enjoyed getting out everyday as lots to do in the area. The road to the property is narrow and has fields and cowslip on both sides and you feel like you might be going the wrong way but keep going and you will see the barn.
What a beautiful barn conversion and the views are stunning. It was so nice to have an ensuite in every bedroom and a wellequipped kitchen. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and wow, that TV, what can I say? It is so often you stay at cottages listed as accommodating 8, only to find that there aren't enough chairs or space to be comfortable. Not here plenty of room for everybody. Would we go again or recommend it to others? Absolutely lovely hosts.
Stephen
This is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in and we will be returning every year without doubt.
Me and my friends have had the best weekend staying at Langley Barn. It was even more than what we expected, with a lovely welcome basket full of essentials. The cleanliness was 1010 and the overall stay was just fab! Thank you
Sharon
If you want to get away from it all in luxury with good company then this is the place for you! The cottage was immaculate, top quality and so well laid out. The wildlife in the area was amazing, buzzards, kites a real treat. Cannot recommend this place enough, the hot tub was a must after a long walk and well sited in order to enjoy nature at its best!
Kirsty
Amazing property! Fantastic space to enjoy as two families, very clean, well equipped. We all loved the hot tub, the kids loved the 75 TV! Great location to explore the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District so much to do! We will recommend this property to everyone!
Denise
I booked Langley barn as a surprise holiday for my family my husband and myself 5 adults and 2 children under 11 we had a fantastic time, the barn was so well equipped we had everything we needed. It's a huge barn 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms so we all had our own space. The hot tub was the main attraction it was used every day. I would like to thank Alistair the owner for greeting us on our arrival to show us around.
Fantastic, beautiful inside. Hidden dream from the dumpy road leading to it. Offered everything you would need in the kitchen. Only a few things I would have liked a tv in master bedroom and some big pictures of the barn then and know as they have plenty of space. 10 out of 10 Lovely couple
Louise
Stunning place, even more beautiful than the photos! Perfect for a girls weekend away. Spotlessly clean and very warm too. Thank you!
Well what can I say, this property is by far the best I have ever stayed in, nothing was too much trouble for the host who made sure we had every thing we needed for a family Christmas.
Just enjoyed an amazing weekend with friends at this stunning barn conversion. Beds, furniture, kitchen, bathrooms etc all great quality and super clean. Location is perfect too for a quiet stay plus fabulous private outdoor space with large hot tub. Host Alistaire was super friendly and couldnt have been more helpful. A gem of a find and a must stay!
Stephen
This holiday property is second to none, very spacious, well presented and the quality of the furniture, fixtures and fittings are amazing. There is an ensuite in every bedroom and the kitchen area is fully fitted out with everything you could ever need. The owners are only next door if needed and are very friendly and helpful. We have only just got back and have already booked for early next year, this is by far the best Sykes holiday home I have stayed in.
Andrea
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Langley Barn. The barn has been converted beautifully. The space inside and outside is amazing and everything that you could possibly need is provided. The underfloor heating made it so cosy. We'd love to come back if we have another group get together.
Daniel

This property is 5 plus! We went on 2 October 2023 and the property had only been available for a few months consequently every thing was brand new! It's really big and spacious with EVERY amenity. The property owners live on site which is really handy. Would go back in an instant!
Louise

The cottage was amazing! Me and my family really enjoyed our time, to the point where we didnt even step out the property to explore. The host was really great and very helpful. We had everything we needed there, clean and everything very organised. and i look forward to coming back.
This was a beautiful barn conversion, very well finished and one of the most well stocked kitchens I have seen in a holiday property. The spacious outside area with the hottub was well used and we a a few barbecues into the evening making use of the pretty outside lighting. Alistaire the host met us on arrival and gave us a very helpful personal tour and explanation of the property and its workings. He was also available if needed. We would highly recommend a stay in this stunning barn.
Jessica

A superb holiday cottage which exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully finished, spacious and extremely well equipped. It was spotlessly clean and we all enjoyed our stay there. The children 15, 7 and 2 absolutely loved exploring the house and garden. We cooked all our meals there and had everything we needed. The owners live next door and were lovely. We had a beautiful hamper of goodies and drinks awaiting our arrival including gluten free items for our granddaughter which was so thoughtful and much appreciated. There were lots of days out to be had nearby within easy driving distance. We had such a lovely relaxing week and the adults very much enjoyed the hot tub to relax in after a long day. We would definitely recommend a stay there.
