This is a wonderful get away base in a beautiful location with wonderful views of the countryside. The owners have paid meticulous attention to detail for guests & thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. There are plenty of lovely walks around as well as local towns to visit. The evenings are so welcoming spent in the hot tub in the sunset and the cottage just wraps its arms around you so cosily to nestle down for the night in peace and quiet. David and Carolyn the property owners are very approachable and accessible too. Thoroughly recommend this spacious accommodation, it really is a gem.
Lovely stay in a great location. The property was very comfortable, furnished to an high standard and had everything we needed. We were met by Carolyn who showed us round, was contactable during our stay and offered some local tips for visits, food etc. Very quiet and relaxing and we loved watching the two pairs of red kites flying very close over the fields. Grateful for the welcome package too, thank you.
We had a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage. Very clean and spacious with lovely views over the hills. Hosts live in the farm house next door and were very welcoming on arrival. Great outside space for the dog including a grassed area for them to run about in. Plus added bonus of an outside covered kennel should you need it. Great hot tub and little summer house. Lots to do , even out of season! Forest walks, castles, towns Short drive into Ross on Wye where they have at least 2 high speed chargers for those needing an EV charger Would definitely recommend for couples or friends with a pet. Would love to return.

Pros Lovely view, location, hosts, clean cottage with amazing hot tub, comfortable parking space. Washing machine was available. Cons Kitchen sink tap, shower head were poor quality. Water system was not great. Not easy to work out how to balance the water. I was getting either very hot water or cold from the taps. No dishwasher. To access to the hot tub, needing to go out of the property.

An extremely comfortable cottage with an amazing view. Lovely hot tub which was kept beautifully clean and chemicals not so strong that it dried your skin out. Comfortable beds and the cottages decor was very nicely done and for us, at least, felt like a home from home. Would highly recommend it for a relaxing break away.

We had a fantastic holiday at Phocle Ridge. This started with a warm welcome from the owner who was very helpful, but didnt disturb us during our stay. The cottage is well equipped and has a fantastic hot tub. There is a beautiful view. If we had been there over the summer, we would have made more use of the outdoor space. The cottage is situated in a perfect location for an east drive to Ross on Wye, Hereford, Great Malvern etc We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and hope to return soon.
Fabulous place. Beautiful location and views. Layout perfect for us and the dog. Hot tub checked twice a day which was reassuring. Would be back again. The personal touches provided were lovely fresh flowers nibbles and Prosecco.
Angela
Fab cottage in a beautiful setting with wonderful hosts. Children loved the hot tub and the dog drying room was perfect. The summer house is lovely to sit in and relax.
Carrie
What a lovely cottage and hosts were extremely warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was cleaned to a high standard and the owners had thought of everything for a comfortable homely stay. There was a bottle of prosecco and some nibbly bits on arrival which was a great touch. The hot tub was a huge hit to relax in and our daughter loved playing in it. The cottage itself has stunning views and plenty to visit nearby with a short car journey. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
What a lovely place. The owners were so welcoming and had thought of everything we would need for a stay whether it was sunny or raining. We loved the hot tub, and enjoyed cooking on the BBQ. The facilities outside are brilliant, the summer house was so cosy and lovely to see that there were heating and lighting so this can be used all through the year. We went in a hot July so didnt make good use of the to boot room and doggy drying area outside but I can imagine this would be extremely helpful in the winter. I highly recommend staying here and we will be looking to come back in the future.
