We rented the property for a family break with small children, teenagers and adults. There was plenty of room, the property was very clean, tidy, fully equipped and even has a hot tub now! There is a shop next door and a fish and chip shop. The nearby towns are great for evenings out, day trips and shopping. We did the Matlock Parkrun, Monsal Trail bike ride, Chatsworth, Water Park, Dovedale Stepping Stones, Alton Towers, watched Macclesfield Town FC, Heights of Abraham and meals in Buxton.

What a weekend we had at the fabulous Horseshoe Inn. It was ideal for the 4 couples and 2 singletons. House was clean, bright and stocked with everything we needed. This unique attraction combines an array of activities. If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about. Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system. You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views. You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.

Alton Towers - ST10 4DB

Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park. The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones. All ages are catered for here. Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis. There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.
