Very cosy, plenty of space, loved it!
Mark
Great spot near the beach, loved the bungalow but some outside fixes needed, overall nice!
Emma
The cottage was stunning, set in such a peaceful spot. Everything we needed was there - super comfy beds, spotlessly cleanand the garden with the hot tub and table tennis was a real highlight. The biscuits and fizz on arrival made it extra special too!
Alex
The place is great, really spacious with a lovely hot tub, but only part of the garden's dog secure.
James
Had a lovely stay! The kitchen was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The thoughtful touch of prosecco and biscuits upon arrival really made us feel welcome. We’d definitely come back again! Cheers!
Alex
Really enjoyed our visit, the cottage was cosy, cleanand well-located. Will return soon!
Ryan
The driveway was a bit scary to drive off but the bungalow was lovely! We would definitely stay again.
Emma
We had a fantastic holidayand the property was nearly perfect for what we needed - two adults, three children and a dog. The location was brilliantand the table tennis table and hot tub were a hit with everyone. The only issue was that while a big part of the garden is enclosed, you have to walk a few metres to get there, so it's only really secure for dogs and kids if you remember to shut the main driveway gate.
Emily
We stayed in a lovely comfortable bungalowand the views down the valley to the sea were just beautiful! The hot tub was amazing after a long day at the beachand the table tennis ended up being well used by the whole family.
Oliver
We’ve stayed here three times now. The location, views and space are incredible. The house suits us perfectly but it’s getting a bit too pricey, so this might be our last visit.
Emma
Fantastic property in a brilliant location! The hot tub is a perfect spot to unwind after a busy day.
James
The location of the property and view is fantastic! The house and gardens really need updating and some tlc. The road outside is quite busy and doesn’t feel safe for walking with children or pets. After returning, we’re still unsure if the garden is secure for animalsand the fact that other people walk through the garden to get to the caravan takes away our privacy, which could clearly upset the dogs. Overall, it just doesn’t feel like value for money and we’re pretty disappointed with the property. We won't be booking this place again.
Chloe
We loved the view and the location, absolutely stunning! However, the cottage itself was just okay for us. It had some charm but could do with a little more attention to detail. Overall, we had a nice time, but it could be improved!
Linda
What a lovely location! The views from the hot tub were amazing and we made sure to use it as much as we could. Woolacombe really is a lovely spot and the shops in the village are just right for a holiday. Don’t miss the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railwayand there are so many sea excursions from Ilfracombe too.
Oliver
We had a really great week at Highlands! The bungalow and the grounds impressed us. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and the entire place was clean and tidy. Thanks for making our holiday special. See you next year, hopefully!
Alex
Hot tub was cold when arrived, other than that it was great :)
Sarah
We had a long weekend in early February and have been to Woolacombe quite a bit. This time, we stayed the furthest out from the village, which was interesting. The negatives for us were the electric panel heaters; they weren't in the dining room or the room right next to the kitchenand the fan heaters in those areas just weren't enough. The unfenced courtyard opens straight onto the road, which felt a bit risky for our dogs and kids. Also, we really wished there were proper glasses for the hot tub. It was tricky turning out onto the road as well. On the plus side, the lovely linen and towels made a difference for sure. The bed was comfyand we enjoyed the welcome biscuits, milkand prosecco! The hot tub was great, the place was quietand the shower was quite quirky.
Emily
We found the beds super comfy and the outdoor space is great for dogs. It’s not really disability friendly, just being on one level. The decking around the whole property is seriously slippery; two of us had a nasty fall. When we arrived, it was obvious the house had a significant damp issue and was quite unclean, definitely not ideal for small kids or anyone with a lung condition. The house is located in an amazing spot with stunning views, but the lack of attention was evident. A 4-star rating? With issues like a rusty cooker and sockets (including the fridge) turning off randomly, that sounds a bit generous!
Sarah
We loved the location! It was perfect for everything we planned and more. The views were stunning and made each day feel special! Can’t wait to go back! Only downside was the slightly noisy street at night. Overall, an amazing experience!!
Sian
Nice bungalow with great views from the hot tub viewing Woolacombe. Brilliant location for exploring but need a car as its not safe to walk on road outside of property. Land for dogs to play on and a more secure area around the hot tub. Some of the land is partially shared with an air stream caravan. Jon who maintains the property is helpful. Had i ssue with hot tub and he sent engineer out same day. Few things on property need fixing/updating to improve it. Heating & hot water hard to use.
