Lantern View Reviews

Emma
We had a lovely stay here! The place was super comfyand the views were just stunning. It’s a lot closer to the harbour than we expected, which was perfect for daily walks. Woolacombe Bay was great for our dogand Ilfracombe was charming - we’ll definitely come back. Thanks so much!
James
We stayed at this spacious, modern house which comfortably fits six people. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare a family Sunday roastand we appreciated the thoughtful inclusion of cleaning products and dishwasher tabs - not always standard. The hot tub and outdoor area looked great, but we didn't get much chance to enjoy them in the cold. The location is handy for a stroll to the harbourand having off-road parking was a real bonus with busy streets around. Solid stay!
Emma Roberts
We loved staying here! The spacious rooms, comfy bedsand stunning views made our trip special. The hot tub was a real highlight - we’ll be back!
Sam
Great stay overall, really loved the hot tub and log burner, though the bedrooms were chilly.
Emma
We stayed at this lovely place and were blown away by the stunning views over Ilfracombe. The house itself was super spaciousand the living room was really comfy after long days exploring. The kitchen had everything we could want - so well stocked! Plenty of storage throughout. The hot tub was a real treat, well maintained, though in bad weather, you’d want to be prepared. It’s a steep walk down to the harbour, but worth it. We loved Devon and would definitely come back!
Emma
The place was absolutely lovely! Even though the weather wasn't great, we didn’t mind at all since we enjoyed relaxing there. Plus, everyone around was super friendly, which made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend it!
Emily

Really enjoyed our stay! The place felt cosy and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like soap, washing-up liquidand even dog extras. Definitely recommend!
Emily
We really enjoyed our stay at this upside down house. The balcony views are stunningand it’s super modern and well-equipped. It’s just a short walk to the harbour, though the hill back can be a bit tricky if you’re not keen on steep climbs. The Thatched Inn nearby is a great dinner spotand having parking at the property was a lifesaver given how tricky the area can be. Definitely recommend!
James Morgan
We loved staying here! The house is gorgeous and situated in such a lovely spot. Our teenagers enjoyed having the lower floor all to themselves, which was a big plus. The balcony off the lounge is fantasticand it was great to open the doors to the Juliet balconies in the kitchen and main bedroom. Plus, being able to walk into Ilfracombe without fussing about parking was a real bonusand the hot tub was the cherry on top!
Emma Clarke
The cottage itself is gorgeous and tucked away in a really scenic spot, just a short stroll to the harbour. We loved the charming pub right in front with great foodand the place was so quiet, you’d never know the pub was there!
Sophie
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely place, especially sitting on the balcony and gazing at the sea. It’s in a fab spot, walking distance to charming coves and the town centre. The local crab was a real treatand we’d definitely recommend Seventy One on Fore Street and Giovanni and Luca for great meals. The main en-suite bed was a bit too soft for our likingand we noticed no hot tub maintenance during the week, which caused a rash for three of us - probably bacteria. Still, we had a wonderful family holiday overall!
James
Absolutely breathtaking sights

It's in a handy spot-just a walk down the hill to a puband nearby there's another pub with a huge beer garden, swings, trampolineand go-karts for the kids, all free. The hot tub was a lovely bonusand the courtyard is perfect for sunny days. Bedrooms are big, cleanand well-equippedand the kitchen is stylish and functional. Plus, it's close to some nice restaurants. Definitely recommend!

James Thornton
We had a lovely stay! The house is super cosy, with a modern touch and gorgeous views. It’s just a short stroll into town, plus loads of scenic dog walks nearby which was perfect for our pup. The waterfall shower and instant hot water were a real treat after a day out. Being upside down did confuse our dog a bit, but she loved the treats and her ball. The thatched pub nearby isn’t dog friendly indoors, so best for dry days. Overall, a great spot for exploring!
David
We had a great weekend stay. The place was exactly what we needed-close to town and the pub. Everything was comfortableand we’d definitely recommend it for a quick getaway!
Emily Carter
Really enjoyed our stay, the view was stunning and the staff friendly and helpful.
Emma
