Meadowside Reviews

Thomas
We just got back from a relaxing break at Meadowside. The house was very comfortable and clean and had everything you needed, really. We made great use of the log burner over the week. Our spaniel and sprocket enjoyed the secure garden and adjacent field when they weren't worn out by all the beaches, of which there are many close by, as well as numerous walks. I'm not one to go to the same place twice, but I would definitely revisit.
Hilary
Personally the double bed mattress was much too soft for me. Lovely location and cottage, but a few suggestions would be Have a mirror where the hairdryer is in the bedroom. Perhaps a shelf in the bathroom. Hook on door to hang dressing gown on etc.
Angela
Lovely cottage. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location for where we wanted to go. Evenings are very peaceful. Most definitely be going back there. X
Just returned from a weeks stay at Meadowside and cannot emphasise enough how lovely it was. The extra touches of fresh flowers, cider, scones, jam and clotted cream were really appreciated. Beautiful farm setting run by a lovely and welcoming family, secluded and quiet but only a short drive to all the stunning beaches, St Michael's mount, the Minack, shops and so much more. The hot tub and homely feel of Meadowside was lovely to come home to after a busy day exploring! We will definitely return soon!
We had a lovely week at Meadowside. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. Very friendly owners that make you feel very welcome and lovely goodies in arrival. The hot tub was great and well used by us. Would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for a lovely week.
A great place to stay will be going back.
Meadowside, beautiful Meadowside, well, what a well equipped beautiful 'home from home'. It had absolutely everything that was required, in excellent quality, and thoughtfulness. Additionally the decor was beautiful, particularly to my taste. Many colours and designs similar to my own, made a special difference! Additional special, a super welcome cream tea, how lovely! We were also greeted by the lovely good mannered dogs, who greeted our own dog with lots of friendly wags! Meadowside has the ability to be completely enclosed with its own driveway and gates, for doggy safety, fabulous! Meadowside has its own abundance of private garden and lawns, for those with children, I imagine a completely safe condition. Beautiful! Just wonderful! A hot tub also, not that we wished to use it, but can I imagine superb for those who like to do. A delightful walk around locally, and even the ability to go down by foot to the lovley Lamorna Cove, but it is steep! We took advantage also of a take away Thai, from a little caravan kitchen, just half a mile down the road, which was superb. All about Meadowside is highest marks, and we recommend it from the bottom of our hearts!
A beautiful clean cottage with everything you need for your stay. Lovely little welcome with scones, jam and clotted cream. Owner was lovely and easily contactable for anything you need. There's a folder with lots of information in which we found really helpful. Me and my partner went just after new year so the weather wasn't the best, but it was perfect for a quiet getaway and we still had a wonderful time and drove into town. We would definitely recommend this cottage and will be looking to return in the future
Immaculate, clean, immediate response to queries on site, welcome cream tea and cider, good location with lovely views loved it.

Fabulous cottage. Peaceful getaway. Would definitely stay again.
It is a lovely little cottage. It is the second time we have visited and we love it. The walk down to Lamorna Cove was lovely too. A great place to stay if you want to visit places like St Michael's Mount, Lands End and Sennen Cove.
Stunning property with lovely views very homely after days out, loved the scones and clotted cream.
We loved this cottage. The location is perfect for exploring beautiful Cornwall and the property is spacious and clean. The outside space is great too. The owners and family are so friendly too that you dont want to leave!
A lovely property in a very peaceful setting with use of a hot tub and nice garden. Very relaxing. Close to Lamorna cove and an excellent pub. Great for exploring this area.
Very comfortable little cottage on a farm in beautiful surroundings. Had another great stay there again, everything we needed for the week including a lovely welcome of delicious scones, cream, jam and cider. Thanks very much, highly recommended.
A lovely place for a relaxing break or longer holiday. Five stars all round, friendly hosts, comfy beds, clean, warm, pub within walking distance and an amazing bay at the bottom of the road. Located in a beautiful farmland setting, we loved seeing the sheep peering over the fence and the hens running free. An added bonus was the relaxing bubbly hot tub for when the weather was good and the log burner for colder evenings. We would definitely book again.
Great place to stay. Awesome Views. The Meadowside Cottage was clean and cozy. The unexpected welcome package went down well. Who doesn't like Cream Tea, milk and cider drinks? The Hot Tub was wonderful even though the weather was chilly and windy. Meadowside is well located with just a 20 min walk down to the Harbour with a Pub on the way. Conveniently close to Penzance, St. Michael's Mount, St Ives, and Lands End. The Hosts were wonderful and friendly. They told us of things going on in the village. I would highly recommend Meadowside cottage. It was warm, clean, cozy with a great view. Thank you for a Great Holiday
Joanne
Had a wonderful stay at Meadowside cottage. Shame the weather wasnt the best but it was like a little Home away from home in the most beautiful idyllic countryside. The hot tub was an absolute luxury and heaven after a cold and wet day of walking. The only thing I would say, the weather was so bad with wind and rain and there was no shelter for the hot tub so made using it in that kind of weather difficult. The little welcome package was great and it was all enclosed for the little doggies so was safe and secure. The wonderful log burner made all the difference on those cold nights. The cottage had everything u needed. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a wonderful, quite break away in the county side.
Great property and would stay again. Everything we needed was there. The hot tub added the extra bonus along with the beautiful location. Hosts were very welcoming, friendly but not intrusive. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend the property to others.
Hi, thank you we had a lovely week in Meadowside. The cottage is lovely, and the girls enjoyed the facilities in 'the shed'. The honesty shop was also really useful, thank you. Time of year obviously, but we found as we didn't really plan the local pubs were difficult to get a table at but we managed. St Buryan Inn was very nice. Wondering if we will rebook!
Michelle
Meadowside is stunning. ..from the moment you arrive, turn the corner into Borah Farm to stunning views & homemade scones waiting for you. The barn has everything you need to relax & have a great time, we loved it so much. Its clean, comfortable & very relaxing. The owners are so friendly....the Son even allowed our Daughter a tractor ride which of course made her week! Expect a visit from their dogs, Coco came every day & chickens roam freely. The hot tub is lovely...just wish the cover wasnt so heavy but the owner is aware & plans to change it. Cannot wait to return next year. Thanks all x
We had a lovely stay at meadowside, its quiet, peaceful, the cottage has everything you need. The bed is super comfy. The hot tub was amazing we were in it every night. We will definetly be back. Thanks for having us.
A beautiful location with fabulous views across the countryside. Friendly hosts who made sure we had everything we needed and welcomed us with fresh scones and cream.
Fabulous property! Very pleased with the whole thing
Terence
We had the most enjoyable stay in Lamorna, We live locally and never really visit the west country. however, Meadowside was the most comfortable, peaceful, friendly place, watching the farm come to life, seeing the animals, feeing the lambs and of course Coco & Harvey...Would highly recommend this cottage and sykes cottages. Thanks Sue
Absolutely amazing cottage and amazing setting ,would definitely recommend and will definitely be back .
It was a beautiful cottage. We really enjoy our stay. It is is in a really good location for accessing Lands End, St Michael's Mount, Minack Theatre and Penzance. The views from the property are lovely and it was very peaceful.
A fantastic quite place to stay, the owners were lovely and friendly, my only ... A fantastic quite place to stay, the owners were lovely and friendly, my only gripe is the sofas are to low down for me, apart from that I would highly recommend
Heather
Very clean and tidy cottage. Beautiful garden and views. Owners were helpful and friendly. Easy access to great walks and beaches you will need a car though.
We have had the most relaxing break. Fabulous accommodation which is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Margaret and her family are always around to help with any questions but also keep their distance enough to make your holiday private. The perfect balance. Very dog friendly with plenty of open space to walk without having to get in the car. Highly recommend this property.
Antony
Great location, loved the welcome team tea. The facilities were spot on. A realleal pleasure to stay there. We would definitely come again
Fantastic place to stay, the cottage has everything you could ask for, its comfortable, warm, clean, cosy, peaceful, and has quite stunning views. A perfect holiday experience.

Just spent a week in Meadowside at Borah Farm. What an amazing week!!! The accommodation exceeded what was expected, very comfortable especially the bed, homely and had every extra you could have wanted. Even a cream team awaited us and a lovely welcome from the owner. It has the most beautiful view from the dining roomsitting room area, and the hot tub is only a few steps away. I really cannot recommend this place enough, it is a little piece of heaven on earth.
Christine
Lovely location, friendly and very helpful owners.
We really enjoyed our holiday at Meadowside. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the view. Lovely peaceful location with great access to Porthcurno and Sennen.
Gabrielle
Lovely location and view. We enjoyed the hottub experience. Very attractive cottage and scrupulously clean. Sofas were a little low for comfort. The bed was very comfortable.
Maureen
Meadowside cottage is brilliant and exactly as we remembered it when we stayed there in 2003. The location of the cottage is excellent and the views are spectacular. The accommodation is also excellent, fitted to a very high standard and the icing on the cake is the hot tub which we really enjoyed.
Lovely property in a peaceful location. Really friendly, helpful owners. The hot tub was divine. The complimentary scones cream and jam on arrival were delicious. Really dog friendly, lovely handy walk across the field to the lake. The shower was amazing! Really comfy bed.
