The Old Apple House Reviews

Emily
The place was really nice, super clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay a lot! Just a heads up - bring your own essentials like salt, pepper, extra toilet rollsand dishwasher tablets because they’re not provided. Still, a lovely spot!
James
We loved the peaceful spot just a short drive from Bideford. The place was well kitted outand the hot tub was a real treat after a day out. Watch out for all the steps thoughand the slope from the car park isn’t the easiest. It'd be helpful to have clearer recycling instructions. The tumble dryer is pretty loud too, but overall, a nice stay!
Emma
The house was stunning, with a lovely garden that felt completely private. Perfect for a chilled escape with our dogs, we loved it!
Sarah
This place is lovely, really peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was a highlight-used it every day, sometimes twice! The lounge was super comfy with plenty of spaceand the bedrooms and bathrooms were spot on.
Simon Edwards
Honestly, the garden was a bit of a mess-grass uncut, weeds everywhereand the outdoor spaces looked neglected. The BBQ was in terrible shape, so we didn’t bother using it. The outdoor furniture was all old and dirty too. Inside, the fridge was wobbly and not very cleanand the whole house just felt a bit tired; a fresh coat of paint could really help. Also, there were no condiments at all-zero salt or pepper-and only one toilet roll in each bathroom for a week. Definitely needs some sprucing up!
Emma
We loved staying here! The house is quirky and spacious, perfect for families with kids and dogs. The garden is safe and private, the hot tub is fantasticand it’s an ideal spot for exploring North Devon. Really enjoyed our week!
Martin
We loved our stay here! Perfect for families, handy for North Devon resortsand a lovely spot to visit any time of year. Highly recommend!
Emma
We've stayed here three times now and honestly, it just keeps getting better. The hot tub is a lifesaver after a long day exploring. The garden is super secure for our dogand the peaceful spot makes it easy to visit beaches nearby. Everything's well-kept and spotless. Already booked for next year!
Laura
Honestly, the lounge lighting was a bit of a pain - flickering spots and not enough lights meant we had to rely on the kitchen lights. Also, don’t forget your own dishwasher tablets and antibac, as none were provided. Apart from that, the house was perfect for us and really suited our needs. Would stay again!
Emma
We loved our time at the Old Apple House! The place was cosy, neatand spacious. The hot tub and fireplace were fantastic perksand our host was really friendly and helpful.
Henry Clarke
We stayed at this charming cottage nestled in a lovely estate. The interior decor is really nice and cosy. One thing to watch out for is the glass doors leading to the patio - they get super hot in the sun, making the kitchen pretty uncomfortable during warm days, especially with the boiler heat too. Also, unlike other 4 or 5-star places we've been, there wasn’t a welcome pack on arrival, which is a bit of a shame since we always appreciate those little touches. Overall, a nice spot though!
James
The cottage was lovely, really well equipped and perfect for a chill-out week in North Devon. We had a great time, even with the typical British weather!
Sara
This holiday home was absolutely fantastic! We really didn’t want to leave. The space was so invitingand all the little touches made it feel like a true getaway. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying time together. We’ve already started planning our next visit!
Clara
The layout was just perfect for us. Our dog had a blast playing in the enclosed garden. The hot tub really added to the experienceand the cottage was lovely and warm. Plus, it’s in a nice location that’s super quiet in the evening!
Lucy
This cottage is just lovely! It’s really comfortable with loads of space to spread out. Perfect if you’re bringing kids or dogs along. The hot tub is amazing too! Plus, it’s in a really quiet spot and well-placed for exploring. We highly recommend it!
Tracy
We had an excellent family stay here. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The secure garden was perfect for our dog to explore and have a bit of fun, plus there were blankets and cushions for them to curl up on. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly needand having a dishwasher, washing machineand tumble dryer was such a bonus! We were thrilled to have a hot tub, which the whole family enjoyed. It was lovely to relax in it at night with all the lights on. We would definitely recommend this place for a family getaway!
Clara
We had a fantastic week at the Old Apple House, which gave us the chance to explore so many lovely spots nearby. The house was super comfortable and nice and quiet, plus we definitely made the most of the hot tub!
Karenza
This cottage is a bit upside down and topsy turvy, but we had a fantastic time staying here with the family and our dogs. The bedrooms are lovelyand their own French doors let in fresh air in the mornings. The kitchen was just the right size for our large familyand there was plenty of storage for food and drink. The hot tub was brilliant! It was super hard to get the kids out of it in the evenings. Overall, a great place to stay.
Natalie
The property was just ideal, really everything we needed and then some! Thank you, it was exactly what we were looking forand we had a fantastic family Christmas. We'd absolutely recommend this place for a holiday at any time of the year.
Mellie
This is such a lovely, furnishedand comfortable multi-level property. We really appreciated the great parking for two cars and the secure gate that we could close to keep the dogs safe. The sat nav got us right to the last fork but tried to send us right instead of left, so thanks to the owners for the helpful directions! The building feels unique and spacious. The main bedroom and en-suite are particularly lovelyand that shower is just amazing. The beds are on the firmer side, but all the bedding was spotless and comfy!
