A lovely cottage in a great location. A good base for exploring the coast and the North York Moors and some lovely walks around the village. A lovely main bedroom with a comfortable and very big bed. Perfect location, cottage and facilities.

The cottage was gorgeous - beautiful inside and out, comfortably furnished and didnt take long to feel like home. Brompton is a lovely little village and Scarborough was very accessible with the bus stop just round the corner. We lacked for nothing in the kitchen and were able to cook easily, and the dishwasher was a great help! Between the comfort of the main bedroom and the hot tub outside - which was clean and well-maintained - we were completely relaxed and refreshed. A wonderful place!
Wendy
Had a wonderful stay at the old chapel. It was immaculately clean and was well equipped. Beds were extremely comfortable and the hot tub was fab (better than the one in the photos). Great communication with the owners. The village is lovely with very friendly locals and plenty of ducks, it also has a fabulous butchers and good wine bar (however thi s is only open til 6pm). We had a great stay and hope to return.
Samantha

The hottub was a great extra after our busy days out and about. We were able to take our puppy with us and there was a secure garden to the back. We received a lovely welcome pack for both us and the do g and the owners were super friendly and there if needed. We will definitely be back to visit again :)

This is a lovely, comfortable, and bright cottage in a the wonderful and friendly village of Brompton. It was well equipped, spotlessly clean, and very nice just to hang around in. Also very peaceful, with great walks on the doorstop, not to mention the wonderful butchers (which also sells bread, wine etc.) and the wine shop/bar up the road.
Paul
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the old chapel. I do t think we would change anything about the cottage, it catered for all of our needs and the kids loved the use of the hot tub. The area itself has many great places to visit within an hour or less. Our list of places included Goathland, with the beautiful mallyann spout waterfall and the villag e itself. The village of Helmsley, the castle and nearby abbey were worth a visit. Whitby, Scarborough are local. We highly recommend this cottage.
Sally

A lovely immaculate cottage that was spotlessly clean and decorated beautifully throughout. We stayed during Christmas week 22- 29th December. The owners decorated the cottage with a gorgeous tree , lights, fireplace decorations and door wreath. We cooked full Christmas dinner and the kitchen was more than adequate. We also used the hot tub Christm as day ! And several times during our stay. The village is also lovely with lots of friendly people, and friendly ducks ! I would recommend to all

The Old Chapel is one of the most comfortable, relaxing cottages I've ever had the good fortune to stay in. I loved every minute - the space is lovely, and the location in beautiful Brompton-by-Sawdon is perfect. With wonderful views across the countryside from the upstairs, the autumn colours were a feast for the senses. Warm and cosy, with a very well-equipped kitchen, the lovely hot tub in the attractive courtyard was a fantastic bonus. Very private too. Just lovely. Thank you to the owners!
Sarah

emma
Fantastic little cottage, beautiful decor and homely feel. Hot tub is a great addition. Hosts are lovely and cant do enough for you. Location is perfect for dog walkers and romantic getaways, equally lots of things for families. We would highly recommend this little jem and will arrange a return visit. Thank you for having us. Emma & Mike
Mumta
It was such a beautiful cottage in a fab location. It was only 15min drive from Scarborough town centre and the beach. Everything was accessible within a short drive. The cottage wasn't overlooked so you could sit in the hot tub without any neighbours peeping, which was good. Everything was really well thought out, there was dog blanket, towel and a bowl for your fury friend. The butchers down the lane made the biggest sausage cobs we've ever seen and was really cheap! A lovely holiday for sure!
