Fairport is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. As well as being in immaculate condition, it was faultlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Mark and Helen made us feel very welcome and they obviously want their guests to enjoy their stay. Kippford is a delightful village and an excellent base for exploring the coast and gardens in Dumfries & Galloway. We explored far and wide, making good use of the many guidebooks left for guests in the cottage. Thank you!

We had a great week here, the property has been refurbished really well and Mark and Helen were really responsive and helpful. The balcony was a lovely spot to enjoy the evening sunshine and glass of fizz. There are 2 pubs in the village, both serve food and are easy walking distance from the house. There are good walks from the front door. If you' re happy to drive a bit I'd highly recommend the Senwick Shore walk starting from Nun Mill Bay. The hot tub is an added bonus.
Meriel

Such a wonderful place to stay, one of the best holiday homes we've rented. The house is light and airy, beautifully furnished in a contemporary style and fully equipped to make it a home from home. Kippford is a picturesque little village and with walks from the door it is a perfect place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of town an d city life. The welcome basket was amazing and super thoughtful too. We will definitely be returning in the future for further adventures.
Howard
Fairport is an excellent home-from-home, pet friendly, house to stay in. It is semi upside down living accommodation, with the lounge on the upper floor providing super views across the Urr estuary to the west. The kitchen cum dining area downstairs is very well equipped. We visited when the weather was rather wet and so couldnt make use of the out side balcony, but can imagine its great to sit out there in warm sunny times. Everywhere was very clean and nicely decorated. Beds very comfortable.
Ruth

We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
