Hyacinth Cottage Reviews

Emma Taylor
We had a fantastic time at Hyacinth! Julie truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, even waiting for us despite our late check-in because of traffic. The cream tea and birthday fizz were such thoughtful touches. The cottage feels really cosy and has all you could need. The village is adorable and perfect for exploring. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and Julie’s communication was spot on. Definitely recommend!
James
We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is well-situatedand everyone around was super friendly. The local shop and fish and chips were spot on, plus the dog walking field right across the road is kept tidy. Definitely recommend for dog lovers!
Emma
Lovely spot with easy access to beaches.
Emma
We loved staying in this charming old cottage; it’s super cosy, especially with the log burner. Everything we needed was right there, plus a local shop, bakeryand a cracking chippy nearby. The owners were really friendly and helpful, especially with our questions about the hot tub-such a nice touch for unwinding!
Emma
We stayed in this lovely village cottageand it’s perfect for exploring the area. The location is spot on! However, the hot tub was a real let-down - heated by a small wood fire, which took ages, around 6 hoursand you had to keep tending it. We just gave up after a while. Also, there weren’t enough plates or mugs, only four of each, so we kept running out. Overall, it’s a nice place, but the hot tub and limited crockery made it less enjoyable for us. Wouldn’t stay again, sadly.
Emily
Really lovely cottage, super cosy and peaceful. Close to beaches, a dog walking field, shopand bakery - perfect!

The location is ideal, with quick drives to both coastsand Holywell beach is just a stroll away - absolutely gorgeous! Julie and Mike made us feel really welcome, which was a nice touch. We’re definitely planning to return soon for more relaxation!

We spent two lovely weeks at Hyazinth Cottage. The place is super cosy, with a small enclosed garden perfect for relaxing outdoors. Opposite the house, there's a big meadow where our dogs loved running around freely. Cubert has a handy shop for essentials, plus a bakery and a fish and chips spot nearby. Julie welcomed us warmly with cream tea and scones-such a nice touch! We’d definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

Emma
The cottage was charmingand the location really couldn't be better - a dog park just across the street, plus a lovely pub and beach nearby. We loved it!
Emma
Cubert is a charming little village, perfect for exploring the beaches and scenic walks nearby. The cottage itself feels quite old, with tiny windows that make it pretty dark insideand no proper views. Luckily, the weather was lovely, so we spent most of our time out and about. Wouldn’t fancy it in the rain though!
Emma
This cottage really feels like a home from home, with lots of charm and a cosy vibe. Modern touches blend nicely with its character. The location’s great for exploring Cornwalland there are plenty of lovely walks and beaches nearby. We’d definitely come back!
Sarah
The staff were super friendly, especially Julie, which made us feel really welcome. The cream tea was lovelyand the weather was perfect for exploring the beaches and trying out the local chip shop. Great trip!
Emma
We recently stayed at Hyacinth Cottage and honestly, it was a lovely escape. The place is super cosy and nestled in a peaceful little village. There's a handy shop for basics and a really good chip shop nearby. Sadly, the local pub shut down, but there's another a short drive away-though we didn't bother because our dog found the high stile fences a bit much. The beach's only about five minutes by carand there are plenty within a short drive. Overall, a great spot for a quiet break.
Emma
We spent a fantastic week at Primrose Cottage! Julie greeted us warmly and gave us a quick tour, which was lovely. The cream tea was a really thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The cottage blends charming old features with modern comforts, making it super cosy. The village of Cubert has a handy convenience store, a lovely bakeryand a fish and chip shop-shame about the pub being shut. We loved discovering the Smugglers Inn, just a short walk across a couple of fields; we visited twice! Plus, it’s great that the cottage is dog-friendly with a secure garden perfect for BBQs. We’ll definitely be back!
Emma
We absolutely loved our stay at Hyacinth Cottage! Julie’s warm welcome and the surprise cream tea really made us feel at home. The place had everything we needed - a well-equipped kitchen and a super comfy bed after days out exploring. Our dogs enjoyed the secure field next door, which was perfect. It’s a great base for discovering Cornwall; Holywell Beach was just a short drive, along with plenty of other lovely beaches nearby. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!
