This spacious semi-detached house, within walking distance of a beautiful, sandy beach, is perfect for a large group of friends and family. Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages will love running, playing, swimming and surfing all from your doorstep. Sleeping ten guests, the lounge can be divided in two with folding doors, creating very useful extra space when young and old need a bit of peace and quiet. Stylish yet welcoming, white walls and wooden floors are punctuated with splashes of colour in artwork and soft furnishings. Occupying a superb, elevated position looking out to sea, the bay windows allow light to flood in and boasts amazing views. Bright and airy during the day, but once the wood burner is lit it becomes cosy and welcoming. This is a fabulous house with great facilities. It was well situated for the village and the beach as well as being handy to the larger supermarkets in Bideford. The pool table and hot tub were popular. The bedrooms and en-suites worked extremely well for us. The decor was lovely and helped to make it a very chilled holiday.

We had a fantastic few days stay at The Bay during half term. The house is stunning and everything was immaculate on our arrival. We were greeted by a lovely welcome gift of cake and treats for our dog. An amazing house very close to the beach and all the amenities of Westward Ho! It was perfect for our family gathering with the hot tub and games room a real bonus. Everything had been thought of to make our stay enjoyable, we particularly appreciated the well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, smart TV and board games. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful modern property which had amazing views, especially from the balcony! The house catered for all age ranges and was big enough to accommodate a large group. My children really enjoyed the pool table in the games room! The house felt really clean and well laid out.

The house was beautifully clean and very well equipped. It was only a short walk to the beach and the town. The owners of the house could not have been more helpful, providing milk, tea, coffee and cleaning products for our arrival and also e-mailing details of local restaurants. We were all very comfortable in the rooms provided and I hope we can visit there again in the future.

Brand new accommodation which was spotlessly clean. Plenty of facilities including games room and a dining table which could be turned into a pool table. We didn't really make the most of this but it is a nice option for a rainy day! Spacious, well equipped open plan kitchen. Separate utility room was very handy. Lounge was very comfy with a balcon y looking out to sea! Perfect location for Westwood Ho! - just a short drive away. You could walk it in about 15 mins. We had a lovely week.

Despite the weather we had a great holiday. The hot tub and games room were a plus especially with the children. The house owners are great and very helptul without being overbearing. The house is tip-top clean and all the beds are soooo very comfortable. The cake on arrival was a treat and thoroughly enjoyed by us all after the journey there.

A beautiful, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean house. We had amazing weather and made the most of chilling in the garden and hot tub. We also enjoyed the games room in the evenings. Really well situated for strolling into Westward Ho or driving into Barnstaple and Bideford. Also some nice walks in the surrounding area. The owners were really helpful sending useful information and answering any questions. Highly recommend this property.

The Bay is a wonderful property which is perfect for up to 8 people. The facilities in the house and garden are excellent and provide a great place to relax. The games room was a great hit with the younger members of our party as was the hot tub. All of the bedrooms were really comfortable and with 3 en suite (and the family bathroom next to the ro om without the en suite), they worked really well for both adults and teenagers. The upstairs lounge area had a beautiful view over the sea too.

Beautiful house with all needs catered for. The games room is an added bonus and was enjoyed by all. Very clean, everything you need is available. The added touches of tea coffee sugar etc all available along with fresh milk and cakes and a welcome card all add to the feel of feeling very welcome and at home. Would love to visit again and stay for a bit longer next time.

Lovely house with lots of effort gone into the details. We mentioned that it was my parents 50th wedding anniversary and so they left banners and balloons for us which was a lovely surprise. They also made an effort with the welcome pack after hearing that we had both vegan and gluten-free members in the party. Lovely views across the golf course. Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from The Bay, two families with older children. Perfect house to enjoy in all weathers. The games room on the ground floor is great, with the pool table getting lots of use! Very useful to have TVs in kitchen & lounge, so that theres no arguments about what to watch! Everything was clean, warm & comfortable- we all slept well & felt a t home. Location is great - an easy walk across the burrows to the huge beach, or along the road, ten minutes into Westward Ho!

We had a wonderful family break at The Bay. The house is lovely, modern and spacious with plenty of room for 8 adults ,a baby and our dogs. It is fitted out to a high standard and very well equipped with everything we needed. The location is perfect with amazing views from the lounge and master bedroom. Having a hot tub was a bonus. Would definitel y recommend and hopefully visit again.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
