Barn View Hill Farm Reviews

Alex
The place is wonderfully secluded, perfect if you want peace and a cosy vibe!
Rajiv Patel
The cottage is stunningand the surrounding area is just lovely, especially the cows! We were hoping for a fully enclosed garden for our young beagle, but it wasn’t quite secure enough, so we couldn’t let our dog roam freely.
James
We really enjoyed our stay at Barn View. The place was spotless when we arrivedand the kitchen had everything we needed. The living room was nice and spacious, perfect for relaxing or playing games. The bedrooms were a good size, but the bathrooms, especially upstairs, felt a bit cramped. The hot tub was a highlight - kept perfect temperature and very clean. The internet was pretty poor, but we expected that given the rural location. Overall, a lovely spot for a quiet getaway!
Lucy
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage! The downstairs bedroom was a lifesaver since we had a wheelchair user with us. The two steps up to the main living area weren’t a problem at all. The place had everything we needed, including some fun board games which kept us entertained. The beds were super comfyand there was plenty of space for all six of us. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and was always spotless. Plus, those farm dogs were so friendly - we loved seeing them around!
Emma
Spending a week here was fantastic! The hot tub was a real highlightand it felt just like being at home on the farm.

Beautiful views, cosy and charming
Emily
We booked this place for a group of four, but one of our friends fell ill and couldn’t make it. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home in this charming little cottage. It’s spotlessly clean, warmand super comfy. The rural setting was perfect for us, though you’ll need to bring your own food, teaand coffee. Being on a working farm meant some lovely cow visits and a bit of muddy driving-adds to the adventure! The double duvets on the singles were a lovely touch, making it all the more cosy. We’d definitely come back!
Alex
We loved the privacy in the garden and the hot tub was perfect for our group of six. The place was comfy, funand we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!
Charlotte
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It’s tucked away behind the main house, accessible via a steep farm track on the right after a big shed. The place itself is kept in great conditionand the underfloor heating was a real plus, especially on chilly nights. The hot tub was perfect for unwindingand the beds were comfy with plenty of space for everyone.

Cozy place, everything we needed!
Hannah
We really enjoyed our stay at Barn View Hill Farm. The scenery is absolutely stunning-waking up to that view each morning was a real highlight. The place has everything we neededand the directions were spot on, even though it’s quite remote. The hot tub was a lovely bonus; we made sure to use it every day and even tried to catch it lit at night, which was pretty relaxing. One thing to note, the garden isn’t fully enclosed for dogs, so we had to keep ours on a 10ft lead and beeped him to keep him safe. A gate at the top would be a good addition. Still, we’d definitely return!
Martin
Great spot, the kids loved meeting the friendly dogs!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at Barn View. The cottage was super cosy and had a real home-from-home vibe. Everything we needed was thereand having ensuite bathrooms in all the bedrooms was a big bonus. Tiverton isn’t far, with a big Tesco for shopping. There’s plenty to see nearby, plus lovely walks along the canal. The coast is within an hour’s drive in either direction, which is perfect. Coming back to the hot tub after a busy day was just the icing on the cake. We’d definitely come back!
Sam
Barn View is stunning, so quiet and peaceful in rural Devon! The hottub just made it better. We really enjoyed the visiting farm dogs, especially the Collie, though we weren't keen on the spiders and flies - but I guess that's part of the rural charm! Overall, it was the most relaxing break for us all, even if the tiny country lanes made getting away from the property a bit of a long drive. The Great Western Canal walk in the scorching September sun, followed by lunch at Hickory Inn, definitely made it worth the effort!
Emily
Our hosts were super kind, really helpfuland welcoming. The cottage was just perfect. It snowed in December right after we got there. We woke up to a gorgeous winter wonderland, but our cars weren't the best for the conditions. We got stuck one day because of the ice on the roads. This area is quite isolatedand the small roads don't get much traffic or gritting. Tyre chains or a 4-wheel drive would have definitely come in handy. Make sure to take some food with you if you’re visiting in winter, as the nearest Spar is about 3 miles uphill away!
Jonathan
Such a well equipped barn conversion, with everything you need for a perfect break! In a remote but peaceful location there is ample space to relax and enjoy the social layout whilst also having cosy and comfortable bedrooms. The hot tub is an added bonus! Thank you for a wonderful stay; we would definitely come back!
Lucy
This is a lovely rural cottage, right in the heart of the farm. The owners were really attentive and made sure we were settled and happy. The beds were comfy and all bedding and towels were provided. The hot tub was fab! We cooked at home a couple of timesand all the utensils were available. We also visited two nearby National Trust properties and Dartmoor, which is great for exploring! The pub was a short drive away and they were very accommodating with our dog, even finding us a table in their annexe. We would definitely go back.
Sarah
Such a lovely cottage, really high-quality equipment throughout! There’s loads of seating and space. The communal areas are fantastic.
Mark
We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was absolutely spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Using the hot tub after a long walk felt incredibly relaxing.
Jessica
If you’re after a remote and peaceful cottage, then look no further. The cottage is finished to a really high spec and was very clean. It has all the equipment you might need and the hot tub was a lovely bonus. There’s not much close by; the nearest town is Tivertonand the lanes are quite narrow, but it’s a nice North Devon location to explore from. The large open plan kitchen, diningand sitting room create a great social area. Every bedroom was clean and had a great en-suite. Very comfortable!
