Three Mile House Reviews

Karen
The cottage was in a great location for day trips. We stayed with family and had a lovely time.
Denise
The house lends itself very well for a large family of 10 which we were. We did find the kitchen lacked work space when preparing meals. However it was very well equipped. The upstairs bathroom is shared between 6 adults so this can be an issue .
Jennifer
We all enjoyed our holiday. The house was big enough to accommodate all 10 of us. The hot tub was a great end to the day. There was no shortage of kitchen equipment & glasses. The outside area could do with a little TLC. But because the weather wasnt great we didnt get a chance to make use of it anyway. The sunroom at the back was good to relax in Read moreafter a day out . Hide

our stay at Three Mile House was perfect- even the weather! The house is in a perfect location and the equipment available at the house was equally perfect. Our party had 2 people with additional needs and these were met higher than expected! We had a lovely time and some fabulous memories made as a family.

A very comfortable and extremely well equipped property in a good location that is convenient for access to Kendal, Kirby Lonsdale, Sedbergh, the Lake District and the Dales
Charlotte
A wonderful property and location in the South Lakes. The owner was incredibly attentive and responded quickly with any queries. It was extremely cosy, with ample room for people to sit at the dining table or in the lounge (this is sometimes a struggle with other properties I've stayed out when it advertises sleeps 8+ but never enough seats in the Read moremain living areas). I highly recommend Three Mile House! Hide

A fabulous house for a holiday, beautiful walks on your doorstep and easy access by car to local areas. The house has everything you need and a hot tub outside, great outside area for BBQs and family get togethers.
Jill
To make sure the property has a good deep clean before people come to stay. No good just vacuuming without getting in to the corners and to make sure cobwebs are removed and flies removed. Apart from that we had a lovely holiday.
Patricia
A perfect place to stay for a large family get-together. A beautiful, comfortable house on the edge of the Lake District and Yorkshire dales. A lovely experience. Great to have met the owner, Mel.
Sophie
Beautifully, comfortable, thoughtfully furnished cottage with everything you could possibly need for a fantastic holiday. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the wonderful bathrooms.
Jacqueline
The Farmhouse was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. Wonderful peaceful location with easy access to many walks and a short drive to Kendal, Sedburgh and Kirby Lonsdale. Superb.
Tracey
This is a fabulous home from home and my sister and I had a wonderful quiet relaxing week here, despite the rain. The owner is warm and welcoming and couldnt be more helpful. You are a short drive to most places but honestly with such character, charm and views you really dont need to.
Gaynor
Great house and well equipped, just what we were after. Beautiful location away from everything (but not far to Kirkby Lonsdale by car), totally recommend
Ian
Lovely house in a very peaceful location. Great log fires and hot tub. Very well equipped and a super host.
Anthony
I cannot think of anything that needs improving, or would improve the quality of our stay. The accommodation is absolutely fantastic - lovely and warm, extremely comfortable beds and fabulous kitchen with everything you need when cooking for the big family gathering. It's always great to be able to take our dog with us. The owner was very prompt in replying to any requests and extremely helpful in resolving any issues. Fabulous house!!
Robin
Beautiful property which is very well equipped and in a convenient location for both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. We thoroughly enjoyed the week that we spent there.

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
