Whitecroft Lake Reviews

Harriet
We had such a lovely stay! The setting is really peaceful, with a gorgeous lake perfect for paddleboarding and swimming, even in October. The walks around the property are scenic and relaxing. The facilities like the hot tub, saunaand pool are real highlights and well-maintained. Booking was smoothand the owners were super friendly on the phone. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave - can’t wait to come back. Such a great find!
Alex
This place is really something special. The cabin is beautifully built and has everything we needed. What stood out most was the peacefulness, privacyand stunning surroundings-definitely unlike anywhere else we've been. Our two rescue dogs, who aren’t keen on meeting other dogs or people, totally loved having all that space to roam. It rained most of our October stay, but we’re already looking forward to summer when swimming in the lake will be even better! Luke, the owner, is a lovely guy. Thanks a lot for a memorable stay!
Emma
We loved the tranquil spot, ideal for our senior dogs to swim and explore freely. It was so heartwarming seeing them happy and relaxed!
Emma
We loved the peaceful vibe here, especially being able to bring our dog along and let him run around freely. The stunning lake and countryside views made it even more special. Such a charming placeand the owner was really friendly too. We’ll be back!
Emma
At first, we thought it strange that this was the only lodge around, expecting a few more nearby. But being tucked away in a quiet field next to a lake in the middle of nowhere actually made it quite special. The peace and seclusion were just what we needed. We only stayed a short while but really wished we’d booked longer. Facilities and scenery were top-notch! We’re already planning to return next year, can’t wait!
Jamie
Spent a week at Whitecroft Lake and honestly, it’s even nicer than the photos suggest. The place is so private with loads of space - perfect if you have kids or dogs. The lodge was comfy, with enough room for fourand well-equipped in the kitchen. The peace and quiet by the lake, watching the geese, was just what we needed. You don’t find many spots like this around! Definitely recommend.
Jamie
Honestly, the photos don’t quite capture how lovely this place really is. We booked it for a summer escape with our two boys, aged 11 and 14and it turned out to be just what we needed. Having 50 acres all to ourselves was perfect for relaxing, exploringand recharging. The pool was a lifesaver, especially when the rain came down. Loved the little touches like the Wellington boots by the river-great for splashing around. The views of the waterfalls and lake are absolutely stunning-so peaceful and calming. Definitely a five-star spot!
Jamie
Wow, what a stunning spot! We arrived on Friday and honestly, it’s even better in person-those photos don’t do it justice. The peaceful views and wildlife make it super relaxing. Luke, the owner, was really helpful; when the fridge broke, he sorted a new one out by the time we returned from our day out. It’s the perfect escape for some tranquillity and nature. We’ve already booked again for next year, can’t wait to come back! Absolutely loved it.
Sophie

We loved the cosy, private pod-perfect for a quiet escape. The peaceful vibe was just what we needed. Having the pool and sauna nearbyand able to book them for ourselves, was a real bonus. Great for a small family break!
Emma
We had such a lovely stay! The cottage is perfect for anyone needing a proper break. The scenery is breathtaking, with a peaceful lake full of geese, a cute little waterfall beside the podand a river waiting to be explored down the hill. It’s great for winding down after a busy day. Inside, everything felt cosy and well-equipped. The outdoor space was a bonus-barbecue fuel and a fire pit ready to go. Totally peaceful for us and the dogs, we’d definitely come back!
Emily

Emma
We had a lovely time staying here with our dog! The setting is peaceful and stunning, perfect for summer getaways. We loved having a BBQ and relaxing by the outdoor fire pit. It’s quite remote, so it's quiet but a bit of a trek to get to other places. Definitely would recommend for a chill escape!
Emma
The place was cosy and peaceful, perfect for a quiet getaway. The scenery is stunning with plenty of wildlife to spot. Just a heads up-if it’s been rainy or rain’s coming, don’t forget your wellies because the ground gets really muddy and marshy. We loved it!
Oliver
